Poetry

At Majdanek

Where shall I find you

Family of mine?

I’ve come to reclaim what

Was left behind.

Perhaps someone can tell me

For I fail to see.

Only a blowing wind responds

To my plea.

The words of the Kaddish

I’ve brought to intone.

They too in the cold

Air are lost.

This poem appears in the July 2024 issue.
