The Christian Century is committed to preserving your privacy and safeguarding your information. Your email address is never sold or shared beyond our own platforms. The following statements describe our general information gathering and usage practices.
Subscriber personal identifying information (PII) is collected when you subscribe to the Christian Century magazine (print or online) through our subscription webpages. These webpages are available at our website at www.christiancentury.org and hosted by Cambey & West Inc., our circulation service provider.
The PII requested includes your name, email address, and phone number. The credit card you provide to pay for your subscription, while needed for processing your payment, is not stored. The transaction ID received back from the credit card processor is stored. The PII data are stored within the circulation service provider system, which has been tested and verified to be PCI compliant as a level 1 service provider by an independent agency. This is a thorough and rigorous testing of the security, proving the inability to penetrate and acquire any data stored within it.
When a subscription form on our website www.christiancentury.org is submitted, you enter into an agreement with the Christian Century to provide the subscription requested in exchange for your PII and the subscription fee. Your data will not be shared with any third parties without your express consent. Your PII is retained for the duration of your subscription.
At any point you may access, correct, review, withdraw, or erase your PII data. Log in to manage your subscription and/or your PII by going here or by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 800-208-2097.
The Christian Century tracks how our website visitors use www.christiancentury.org to provide an optimal user experience. We analyze and aggregate information about use patterns and share the aggregated data with our advertisers. We may also collect your PII via registration for e-newsletters, donations, subscriptions, and other areas. You may choose not to provide requested information, but if so, you may not be able to use certain functions on our website www.christiancentury.org.
The Christian Century will not release your email address to anyone outside our organization without your consent, unless under a legal order to do so or in case of an emergency involving danger to a person or property.
Our website www.christiancentury.org uses browser cookies to enhance your user experience and store display preferences. We do not collect or store any personally identifying data, and we do not share or sell data collected in this manner.
The Christian Century uses Google Analytics to better understand our audience. Organizational strategy is driven by where visitors to www.christiancentury come from, and Google Analytics anonymously tracks what is most read and most engaging.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, The Christian Century relies on the generous contributions of our supporters. We value the faithful support of our community and therefore take the privacy of our donors very seriously.
The Christian Century will not rent, sell, or exchange any donor information with outside parties, organizations, or individuals. This includes all relevant information obtained through online donation forms, mailed appeals, phone calls, and in-person contact. Online credit card donations are processed securely by our contracted e-commerce service.
