J. Mary Luti is a retired pastor whose last position was at Wellesley Hills Congregational Church in Wellesley, Massachusetts. A former Catholic sister, she learned to preach while teaching at a seminary—she taught a variety of courses at Andover Newton—rather than while attending one.

In this episode, Mary and Matt discuss the unique perspective former Catholics can bring to Protestant pulpits, the dangerous way that left-leaning preachers tend to moralize, and what happens when Godzilla shows up in the manger.
