President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair should apologize for the “immoral” war against Iraq, according to retired Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Tutu, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, made his remark in giving the annual Longford lecture in London on February 16. Tutu said it would be “wonderful” if politicians could bring themselves to admit that they are only fallible human creatures and not God and thus by definition can make mistakes. “Unfortunately they seem to think that such an admission is a sign of weakness.
