U.S. Postal Service honors Theodore M. Hesburgh with a stamp
The U.S. Postal Service issued a stamp honoring Father Theodore M. Hesburgh during a ceremony September 1 at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, where Hesburgh was president for 35 years.
“This stamp is a lasting testament to his pioneering contributions as a champion of social justice, an advocate for international aid, and an emissary for peace,” said Megan J. Brennan, postmaster general and CEO.
