I was recently tagged on Facebook by friends, being challenged to list 10 books that have "stayed" with me or have had a long lasting impact. Limited to only 10 is tough, so I kept switching it up until the last moment. Even now, I'm not completely satisfied with the list, but nonetheless here it is:

  1. Divided By Faith by Michael Emerson and Christian Smith
  2. God of the Oppressed by James Cone
  3. Race: A Theological Account by J. Kameron Carter
  4. Dancing With God by Karen Baker-Fletcher
  5. Black and Mennonite by Hubert Brown
  6. The Politics of Jesus by John Howard Yoder
  7. The Nonviolent God by J. Denny Weaver
  8. The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass (w/ the Appendix) by Frederick Douglass
  9. A Precarious Peace by Chris Huebner
  10. Good Punishment? by James Logan

Anyway, this isn't a perfect list, but it does represent books that have shaped me and have "stuck". What would be your 10 books?
