David E. Anderson, the departing editor of Religion News Service, was given two honors last month. The Religion Newswriters Association gave him its William A. Reed Lifetime Achievement Award September 11, and he was honored two days later by the interfaith Religion Communicators Council with the first-ever Winston Taylor Religious Communicator of Values Award. Anderson, 63, is moving to Montana with his family and will continue as senior editor with RNS and as a consultant with the Religion & Ethics NewsWeekly TV program on PBS.
