A newly elected Republican congressman was
distressed
to find out that his government-funded health insurance policy
as a member of Congress won't kick in until February, a month after he is sworn
in. He asked: what could he do for insurance in the meantime?

That's an understandable worry. It's a worry that over 40
millions Americans have on a regular basis. The irony is that the congressman,
Andy Harris of Maryland, ran as an opponent of the new health care law that
will cut the number of uninsured in half. Does Harris have any sympathy for the
40 million uninsured who are exposed to a lot more health worries than he is?
